Al Bernstein: I Have Not Been This Optimistic About Boxing In A Long Time

I have not been this optimistic about the sport of boxing in a long time. Excellent matches, more television exposure, international barriers broken. Great time to be following the sport.
PBC still around with Showtime supporting them.
WBSS putting on top ten caliber tournaments.
Top Rank with an ESPN deal.
Eddie Hearn with the biggest deal in boxing history that I'm aware of.
DAZN on the scene as an entity more invested than anyone at the moment.
UK Boxing still cruising along nicely.

Al is one of my all time favorite boxing people & I'm loving that he's saying what most of us are seeing & what some of you f#cking dummies can't ever see. Boxing is in a really great place right now & these next several years are pretty much guaranteed to be fan friendly times. Get ready to enjoy some boxing my brothers & sissies.

The best fighters in the sport are not active enough and they're not fighting the best available opponents.

The two biggest fights in boxing collapsed this week. It is less shit than it was in 2015/2016, but it has nothing on the 90s, much less the 80s.
