Why? They made a decision and stood by it. To me it looks like they stuck to their principles. I don't see anything bad with that...

if canelo fights Jacobs its a dangerous/good fight for him(although I still have serious doubts it comes off)....and canelo will look good by just taking the fight

meanwhile lil g will be stuck with tough mandos for peanuts....and they might not see canelo again=bad move...no other way you can spin it...if it turns out like I just described that is horrible for golovkin

I think they’re both great fighters but I think the pair of them are in danger of not getting the recognition their ability deserves years down the line unless they take the most competitive fights they can for the duration of their career.

Why do some posters see things in terms of my favourite vs your favourite, not every criticism of a fighter is a defence of his oppnent or coming from the enemy camp. It’s not that black and white, it’s not the wwe you know.

yet its golovkin who avoided a lara fight...and said its his dream to unify yet still hasn't been able to make a deal with saunders....golovkin is 36 and a career MW yet for years has avoided a certain style/type of fighter

meanwhile canelo is 27 and has a pretty impressive resume across 3 classes

Good for Gennady. Fact is GGG was cheated from a victory last time. Canelo is the one to prove something not mentioning that it was Red the one to fail the tests. So 50-50 is fair all things considered. And you believe Canelo has intention to fight Jacob (LOL). Spike... here we come!

The plan is this, if Canelo can make 160 he'll fight Spike O'Sullivan and if he can't, Oscar intends to put him in with David Lemieux at 168lbs. That's the real deal, like it or not that's it.

So what the hell was the Vanes fight for and not Sergiy??? The Vanes fight was sold as a SAFE, stay busy fight to not lose the big $$$$$ fight with Canelo.
