but mainly because Itd be smarter for cotto to fight somebody else first to get a feel for 147.Fighting somebody like gatti first makes a margarito fight bigger too.

It would be an entertaining fight but I think 1 fight away. It is not that smart to go up a new weight class and then fight the biggest guy at that weight class. I mean that makes no sense unless your a fighter like PBF who just doesnt get hit but guys like Cotto and Hatton who often trade shots need to acclimate to a new weight class.

Even Hatton took on the lightest puncher with a belt at 147lbs when he fought Collazo. I think Cotto should take on a regular Welter weight i.e. Baldomir, Collazo. Then after that fight bring Margarito on.

Not a good matchup for Cotto,Margarito is not that great but he's too strong and too big for Cotto,C'mon the dude is a middleweight.I would rather see Cotto vs Hatton,Margarito vs Mayweather.

Where's the link that said Cotto was open? Anyways, Cotto says he's open to every fight but that doesnt mean that his team is.

Arum wouldnt put them in together yet. They are his 2 cash cows, so he wants to see them both clean out 147 and then meet

By all means this fight should happen but not anytime soon. It was already announced that it's going to be Gatti or Hatton for Cotto. And Marg is eyeing Baldomir or Hatton.

I don't think Team Cotto is that ****** to let their fighter go up in weight and fight the biggest title holder in the division as his first fight.
