Barry Mcguigan got sued by his own manager as well back in the day. He spends a lot of time being taken to court.

WOW!!! At first I was blaming Frampton but not now. Manager, promotor, and son as trainer??? They were taking him to the cleaners.

I remember hearing that Quigg got paid a lot more than Frampton into their fight even though Frampton had the larger purse split. The reason being was that Frampton had to pay his Promoter (Cyclone/McGuigan) 10%, then his manager (Cyclone/McGuigan) 10%, then Shane a % and also Blain McGuigan got a % for some reason.

They truly milked him and screwed him over. Barry has got no shame and I hope he gets made bankrupt for it.

No clue why is dad gave him the money?? And I think it was from him even selling tickets or some sht?? Who knows? Either way they were conned and I hope they get their $$ and then some. Boxers already have their health to worry about. The last think they need is their promotor/Manager/ AND Trainer all robbing them. Man that whole family was scamming Frampton.

I think Barry convinced his dad to buy tickets upfront at face value to then sell on. Obviously this worked great for McGuigan who made a tidy profit and reduced the risk massively.

Heard Framptons parents even sold their house to do it, all out of guilt / support for their son after Barry basically emotionally blackmailed them to do it "for the sake of his career".

McGuigan convinced him to leave Hearn in order to take complete control of the ££
