Seems there's a massive feud going on between The Hutch and Kinahan families.

Apparently, it all started when a guy named Garry Hutch attempted to murder the son of the Kinahan family head (for some reason? not even sure if it's entirely true). The Kinaham family retaliated with Garry's murder, but the problem is Garry was the nephew of the Hutch family head, a famous bankrobber named, "The Monk". He apparently refused to sit down and speak with the Kinaham head, and since then, there's been ongoing war and murder/hits between the two families. Read all about it here:

Damn.. that sounds like the same **** that happens here in America on a day to day bases in the fight world.. I thought Ireland was about the fist fights rather than gunplay.. ok, I'll weigh in.. did someone have a financial investment in katie prior to her success?.. past promoters, does her father have ******** debts? Any recent altercations with anyone? In my extensive experience people don't usually shoot people without feeling wronged or disrespected in some way..
