He's not a career cruiser weight, he's fought at heavyweight numerous times. Fury called out Bellew this weekend and said he would smash him to bits. Keep up.Originally posted by slimPickingsIts acceptable for Fury to be fighting a 39 y/o career cruiser weight who nobody has heard of but Bellew is not acceptable.
Scratching my head on this one.

I agree. Hes a good pundit and he'd be leaving rich and healthy with his stock higher than ever. What's he going to prove going in with a semi retired Ward or a ring rusty Fury regardless of result?
It just smacks of greed and going to the well one time to many. His trainer wants him to quit and he knows him better than anyone.Comment

bellew knew haye was totally finished when he fought him and anyone with any sense should have known that too yet it went to ppv twice so anything is possible if that can happen
bellew wants the fury fight because fury is not a damaging puncher in any way whatsoever so its all reward with low risk, if he loses who cares, hes got easy cash again
fury could be the next haye, totally spoofing everyone about a comeback when in reality they are finished, fury may end up a slightly better comeback than david haye, not hard thoughComment

Agree with all that. Just not sure that fury would take any risk, even Bellew, prior to stepping in the ring with AJ. He's got too much to lose. As long as he and AJ remain unbeaten the AJ fight can be sold as undisputed against lineal which probably adds millions to Furys purse. Why gamble that for the earnings from fury Bellew?bellew knew haye was totally finished when he fought him and anyone with any sense should have known that too yet it went to ppv twice so anything is possible if that can happen
