I've said it before and I'll say it again... OP is a ****ing mess
Wilder-AJ OFF! Who is to blame?!

I think everyone admits that AJ got caught out there, the fact is that he is worth more than that already, and can make double that in the next year. He was never going to the U.S and give up his belts, brand, name and home advantage for 50 million.... he's worth too much for that.Sources huh?
I think we all know the fight isn't happening next anyway. Blame is on Hearn for this, both fighters at least claim to have wanted it. That 50 mil makes Joshua look bad though, he should of never said he would sign if they offered him the money. Got his card pulled then tried to switch upComment

I was on team AJ's side for most of the previous debacles.
But he said 50 mill I'll do it. A previous poster was right, that got called and though not handled well by Wilders team initially (no contract and not meeting Hearn) it's more on AJ now.
Don't say Hearn wherever it makes most money, open to fighting in America (why say we'll fight Miller but won't Wilder) then say won't fight wilder in USA whilst accepting it's more money. Even if it's a rematch in the others country what does the order matter.
I actually think Hearn senior saying it should be next year, and Rob McCracken AJ's trainer saying has to be UK have spoiled it sadly.Comment

if it doesnt happen neither boxer wants to give up home advantage, its probably that simple
but wilder said he would travel to the uk to ko joshua so its his fault the fight is not going ahead, he lied basically. Joshua never said this fight was happening in the states.
I still think wilder will go to england, he must do, hes the one losing out here!!!!Comment

EDIT - sorry for the semi-long, drawn out post below; however I did so succinctly utilizing paragraphs.
It's not that simple. You know, and all of us know it's really not..
But let's be real - this is part of the fun of the buildup/anticipation of a fight: Each side and their fans going back and forth talking shyte and calling out "ducks, poosies, putting the fear of GAWD in the heart of the other hahah, etc., etc." Some of the best parts are people making memes, gifs, editing highlights, accusing the other of having a glass jaw, etc., etc."
Except in certain cases, where ducks are obvious and clear (usually this involves an entire division ducking a fighter, rather than a single fight: like how Rigo and GGG were ducked by their respective divisions for years); most mega-fights like this, each side really can utilize pretty good optics and make the other side out to be the "ducking/scared" side.
But fans who have been around the sport for a while, and have been through these types of drawn out negotiations know that NEITHER side is "scared," and they are both just trying to flex on the other, and ensure they maximize the most money. Because let's be real, in boxing, every single fight could literally be your last, so of course they want to ensure they're getting the absolute best deal. I love how Tyson Fury said "I hope they each make 200 million a piece - god knows we fighters deserve it."
So yeah - I'm tired of making arguments - but let's be real, each side can make a case as to why "they are in the right," and, "they are not the ducking side," etc., etc.
I'm just kicking back, and enjoying the show until fight time. I honestly don't think this is another Pacquiao/Mayweather situation where it'll be five years until the fight is made. Each side is probably going to take one more fight and we'll likely see Joshua/Widler sometime in late spring/early summer of 2019.
NOTE: I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if Povetkin sparks Joshua and ruins the entire plan. That is a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE risk for Joshua. I honestly would just sit out until the Wilder fight, but it just shows how confident and how much balls Joshua has..Last edited by Cheek busting; 06-03-2018, 01:08 PM.Comment

He's going to have to fight a few fights in order to get that much. That's the thing as well cause AJ isn't an idiot. He was foolish enough to say he'd take 50 million, obviously he thought they wouldn't make it happen, but he knows that even though he thinks he can beat Wilder there is a good chance he could lose as well. Now that he saw how serious Wilder's team was about that offer he figures if he is going to win or lose he would rather give the UK fans the opportunity to witness this fight.I think everyone admits that AJ got caught out there, the fact is that he is worth more than that already, and can make double that in the next year. He was never going to the U.S and give up his belts, brand, name and home advantage for 50 million.... he's worth too much for that.
I'd like to see what the new offer from Hearn was. He said it was in increase in money but that could mean anything. Heck he could of offered a couple thousand more, which is indeed an increase
I just don't think Eddie or his father want this fight right now. At least Barry has said as muchComment
