Yeah he just quickly became the heel of this fight.

I disagree with him though, Ward lost that first fight in my opinion

A dicey psychological tactic by Eleider, Alvarez didn't have to bring up Kovalev's conqueror -- however the damage Ward left may still remain so in a sense its relevant; we don't know if a reminder of another potential loss will drive Kovalev to train harder or diminish the 'Krushers' spirit -- seems like Sergay is not the same anymore after 'S.O.G' Andre Ward destroyed him.

Perhaps Alvarez should of eased into it, maybe bringing up the fact that Sergay is now a paper champion would of been a better start.

Kovalev is weak to the body and has questionable cardio.
              Ward exposed those weaknesses.
Anybody that’s going to beat Kovalev has to be durable and able to fight inside like Ward.

Alvarez has to work on that inside game! Imagine if Alvarez brought John David Jackson to his camp for about 4 weeks? BANANAS!
