It should still be in working condition; if they couldn't have it ready, they should have told him, so that they could find another place. It's just not very responsible, and I understand why they were annoyed.Horn is in the Top Rank gym. The standard gym all top rank fighters use. You act like Bob sent him off to a shed.
He is complaining about the standard gym that dozens of other fighters use and he isnt even training there but working his last light cardio sessions the week of the fight.Comment

It IS in working condition. Its the way its always been. There is no AC. All the other fighters never have a problem with it. Horn is soft as hell, in school class rooms there is always AC so he cant hack it in the standard Top Rank gym that hundreds of other fighters use and never complain about.Comment

How is it in working condition if the equipment is mysteriously deflated, and there's no one around to even try adjusting the temperature by letting air in?It IS in working condition. The Top Rank gym is a quality boxing gym, owned by one of the most powerful promoters in the world.
Countless champions and contenders have worked out there, everything in it is was in excellent working condition and was replaced often, hell even the canvases in the two rings were always replaced after a promotion were there was a custom canvas used.
The gym manager was a old guy from Hawaii named Mitch and Bob Arum gave Richard Sandaval a job for life after he was damaged in his last fight many years ago, and he makes sure everything is in proper working order, and he never did the work himself, they always had professionals come in and upkeep the gym.
It’s a million dollar operation so if anyone thinks Horn is in some bad gym to try to rattle him is silly.
Yeah there’s no AC or heat (Vegas is cold in the winter) which should not matter to a fighter training to fight.Comment

I don't doubt the quality of the gym or the ability of its workers to keep it suitable, but the situation here is that Horn arrives, and everything's deflated--and there isn't even anyone around to open a vent of some sort. That's just not fitting for what it should be in a fight of this level. I can understand why he feels that's odd. Does Arum think Crawford needs help or something? Why not have it ready or with employees? The Top Rank gym is a quality boxing gym, owned by one of the most powerful promoters in the world.

If we had that hit in Britain the country would grind to a halt. People would be being peeled off the streetright thats literally what every boxing team do, they hit up some connects or other boxing gyms if they can use their gyms when they in town for fight night etc its acutally very common practice in the boxing world.
also I think they were talking about celius which woul dmake it about 104 degrees actually but still that aint shit.Comment

That's what speed bags do. They deflate. You fill them up every few days to keep them full so they rebound. It sounds like there wasn't a staff guy on hand to tend to them and these sheilas ouldn't figure out how a gym works.Comment

Well, I've owned a speed bag, and it didn't deflate until I popped it after a year or so. I would think they'd send someone around to make sure everything is in working order.Comment
