His opinion on McGregor does not invalidate his opinion on the GGG-Canelo situation, though.

True, but he also drew out negotiations & demanded 40% from Golovkin for that fight to happen. Now he's with Hearn & negotiations will probably be even tougher than with push-over Loeffler.

GGG isn't getting stripped by the WBC, at least in the foreseeable future, so that's a long wait indeed. Even when/if Charlo gets ordered that would mean that Canelo didn't fight Golovkin or Charlo either. Gennady has shown he's willing to fight mandatories. Canelo needs to beat him to the punch on a name to help restore his image, otherwise he goes the route of Saunders; settling for Golovkin's crumbs & has-beens.

If no GGG, I see Canelo playing it safe and taking on either Lemieux or that O'Sullivan guy. He won't take the risk with Jacob's nor Charlo nor Saunders.

That's a funny spin! Spike made $20k in his last fight & turned down at least $220k to fight GGG. Never-mind it was HBO that canceled the PPV & he's rep'd by GBP.

Yes, let's all promote more tune-ups! Canelo deserves it!

I think 40-45% for GGG, would be fair! Canelo did **** up GGG's money in May! 50-50 is ridiculous, because Canelo is still the draw! Also, everyone keeps saying Canelo needs GGG. I disagree! Canelo needs a top MW opponent! A fight with Jacobs, Saunders, Charlo, or even Andrade, would be a very suitable replacement for GGG! Honestly, we all know that Canelo could fight Munguia on Mexican Independence Day, and sellout the MGM in Vegas, plus 500K in PPVs EASILY!

What Canelo can NOT do is fight Spike O' Sullivan or David Lemieux! GBP can't think fans are that loyal to accept Smith, Khan, Chavez Jr., a draw, and a PED scandal, followed by Spike and Lemieux! That's asking too much from a very knowledgeable Mexican/Latino fanbase! Actually, that's basically saying "Suck My D*ck!"

Make it conditional: loser gets 40%. If another draw: 50/50. Although I feel GGG would have agreed to 40% if there is a draw if otherwise he gets a chance to get 60%.

The humor went over your head. Of course Canelo should take a hit for the whole debacle and the way GB handled it.

I just cannot see this fight happening.
Charlo is to much of a risk for no reward at the moment.
He doesnt even have a belt to bargain with.

Love both of these fighters. 99% of the other giant ppv Mexican fighters never failed a test. Fact. Not a point of view. Call it some meat (it’s honestly very fortunate that other great Mexican boxers of the past with 90% less money and drug testing much easier never tested for this, since as Sulaiman has said, has been an epidemic in Mexico for YEARS). Canelo abslolutely will clear his name when he makes this fight his next one and shows what a warrior he is by not needing a “p*ta fight” as my Hispanic friends are calling any fight beforehand.

They’ll work out the money, maybe a 55/45 (don’t focus on the numbers though, focus on the fight). Canelo will show what a proud warrior he is and take this fight next while still making 20 million dollars. This fight will be in September. If not, it will never happen, and everyone will just go off what happened in the first fight. Canelo fans will see it how they did honestly, and GGG fans will see it how they did honestly, and that’ll be it!
