the answer is no, and if you don't understand why you are dumb!
wilder is an american HW with about as much power as you're ever going to see. heavyweights make insane money, always have, always will. they attract an audience that a "middleweight" [and people say, "whatever that is,] will never attract in anywhere near the same capacity, the casual audience.
so wilder's got a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that a mexican 168 lber who speaks no english and has no following iwll never have. this is not canelo, a charismatic dude with red hair, it's zurdo ramirez. it's easy to promote wilder vs joshua. it's already starting to happen and it's not costing anybody any money. people want this fight, there's a void for a dominant HW champion who is young, prime, and can punch. even better if he's american and looks the part, which wilder does.
Zurudo quality of opponents is far better than Wilders picks. First time Wilder fought a top 10 opponent was a Fat 40 year old Cuban who wasted his prime in the amateurs

garbage troll thread but your only disagreement is 'wilder a hw doe'. career path identical, outlook identical, end result identical. wilder will get more money than zurdo as aj a bigger draw than groves
the only 'pot of gold' for wilder comes from fighting someone who generates the gold, same as zurdo.
aj took a bigger risk in 19th fight than wilder has in 40, groves took a bigger risk in 13th fight than zurdo has in 38
fight 40 cherry picked opponents until a UK fighter in their division is popular enough to give them retirement money to finally take a risk?
is the aim groves-zurdo at wembley 2019?
I am glad you noticed the poor quality of the opponents Zurdo defends his title against. Some posters say he is a really good champion but I am not one of them.He does not defend his title against top 10 contenders the way a good champion should. He recently defended his title against an African rated 100th by boxrec. He is pretty slow for a world champion and I think there are other 168 pound boxers who would beat him if he ever fights them. I don't know if or when he intends to step up to defending his title against top contenders or fight another champion.

wilder has more upside than joshua, actually. hearn has always admitted that the fight will be bigger over here if it's promoted correctly. he even admitted recently that the 50 million offer was real and that the fight is bigger over here even now. they don't even want that fight right now.
so how is wilder the same as zurdo ramirez?
wilder comes from a coutnry starved for a young HW who is exciting. that country has an economy that is 10 times the size of the entire UK. 10 times the size! the state of california alone has a larger economy than england. in las vegas you will literally be paid by a major casino to have your fight there.
joshua - klitshcko did less at the gate than hopkins - joe freaking calzaghe. really! and this was at a time when chad dawson was clearly the best HW on the planet and joe and hopkins were clearly on the downside. and hwen hopkins fought dawson later he lost!
My comments are about Zurdo only. Wilder was a cherry picking champion but Ortiz was a top contender. Wilder fought him and knocked him out. I don't think Wilder wants to fight AJ for the big payday alone. I think Wilder believes he can beat any other heavyweight including AJ. If Wilder continues to fight top contenders he no longer deserves to be labelled a cherry picking champion.
