What bluff is he calling his OWN by asking for 20 Million to fight Joshua ? lol

Meanwhile he'll look like a fool by fighting Breazeale for probably under 2 Million which is what he usually fights at, hes going to call THEIR bluff though and show them ?

It's too much for him, if he gets such amount with AJ's fight, we might not see him in the ring again for the next 2yrs.
          He will go on holiday.
So what......hes suppose to fight in England for a 70/30 split? Knowing full well that the judges and referee will be in Hearns pocket?

You know what I say? Have the fight on neutral territory, and a 60/40 split in favor of Joshua. That would be the fairest way of doing it. But that will never happen.

there is no fair way of doing this... AJ has worked so hard to attain his status and acquired 4 to be the A side and is the major draw for this fight.
He also deserve to be highly compensated higher than wilder cos he has more to loose in this fight than wilder.
Wilder does not have the draw to make this fight big. He has never been on ppv and will not if AJ fight didn't pull through.
I guess u understand what am trying to say.
What they bring to this fight is like 80/20.

Of course AJ is the A side. Of course he has more to lose. But he and Hearn also have to be reasonable here, and they have not been so this far. Turning down $50million guaranteed is a duck. No ifs, ands or buts a out it. AJ does not stand to make that kind of money against anyone else.

And they better pray to God they get passed Povetkin. Because that fight is far from a lock, seeing the way Joshua looked against Parker.

This is a bad business plan on their part. They should have taken the big money offer when it was on the table.

I'm starting to wonder if they want the fight in the UK due to drug testing issues?

I mean, why are they continuously making such ridiculous demands, getting their wishes, and still not signing? They clearly don't feel too good about their chances against Wilder, and for good reason; AJ will most likely lose to him.

AJ worked so hard to the A side. You don't just wake up one morning and claim the A side, you have to work for it.
So he is in the position the position to choose location of this fight. If wilder had also unified 3yrs of being a champ, he would have been in a strong position as well but he ducked all the champions.
It's no AJ's fault he has just a belt. He has limited options as it is now.

Exactly! So why turn down $50 million guaranteed in order to fight Povetkin? Povetkin is not going to be an easy nights work for Joshua. He should win, but it's far from written in stone. I seriously doubt he's going to blast out Povetkin inside six rounds.

And what about if he LOSES to Povetkin? There goes his marketability. The smart fight here is Wilder, no matter how you slice it.

Anything less is not only bad business, but also a clear duck.

The longer AJ puts this off, the more he will be branded a duck.

And I don't understand why either. I'd favor Wilder, but not by much. AJ has a real chance of beating Wilder. I don't see why his own team isn't so confident. 😏

                  • Isn't Povetkin backed by a billionaire? Or is that Puvlev?

well, he fought to put himself in such position. Who ever AJ fight in the division will definitely sell out.
Every HW has a punchers chance so that shouldn't be a threat. Podvetkin is a very good name on AJ 's resume, so it's a much attractive fight am also looking up to.
Wilder can move on if he can't bend to the champions call.
