DAZN is in zero US homes currently; Showtime is already available in something like 25 million homes, and the Showtime app already has 2m+ people streaming the content.
8 years, $1b over the deal ($125m per year, 32 shows per year), with only the first two years guaranteed. smh

Weird to me that so many people on here think this is some sort of Haymon v Hearn battle. If Haymon is the guy everyone says he is, his guys will sign with Hearn if it is the right deal. Al takes a % of the fighter's purses so if Eddie pays them more than what they're getting elsewhere and gets them to box more regularly then its more money for him and his fighters.

They're banking on viewing habits changing. As more people have netflix and/or Prime the case for cable gets weaker and more and more people will drop it: http://fortune.com/2018/03/01/cord-c...d-internet-tv/
DAZN plan to be offering sports fans an easy contract, literally no committment beyond a month, watch at home or on the move etc. May have been a hard sell years ago but now netflix is mainstream it may not be.
Average cable bill is over $100:

Let's say DAZN enters market at $10. You could cut the cable, get netflix and Dazn and save just under a thousand bucks a year.

He's got 16 dates for US dates plus the biggest budget in boxing, by a lot. Allegedly Showtime and HBO got ~$60M, ~$70M between them and Hearn gots $125M.
He's either gonna need to acquire Haymon guys or make ends meet with purse bid fights as others have mentioned til he acquires boxers who are entering free agency as he goes.
Boxing is filled with boxers who dislike their promoter and are looking for a guy looking to pay them more and get them bigger fights. So I think it's only a matter of time before Hearn gets the 6 to 8 names he needs to put on 16 US shows.
Boxers and promoters have their issues, but waiting on Haymon's fighters to sour on him would be a long wait from what we've seen.
Dirrell left and came back without issue, Vanes left and got put on the shelf by Don King for two years, and Jamel Herring is now trying to rebuild under Terence Crawford's camp at Top Rank.
There may be others who have left, but that count is low, and the ones that have left disgruntled have an even lower count.
Why he's not going after a fighter like Kovalev is beyond me.

For a moment, imagine if those old Haymon/ITV numbers were true, Haymon got $100m to deliver 20 shows a year, and he went after Eddie Hearn. "Hey, I understand that Joshua, Bellew, Brook, and Khan are basically set on Sky Box Office, but I'm ready to pay you a clear premium to bring Buatsi, Josh Kelly, the Yafai brothers, Whyte, and basically everyone else under your banner over to ITV; if any of the ITV fighters become Box Office caliber, you can take them onto your Sky Box Office deal, and we'd split the proceeds".
The outright dollar amount would draw note, but Hearn is sharp enough to take that and weigh it against the entire package that Sky Sports offers his boxers.
What Eddie is trying to do isn't all that different

Tbone has better seasoning.. an which one is tougher? I'm just saying..
AJ can decide on who he fights next he’s the one with the a side advantages I mean wilder could of at least tried to grab another belt but he let a j do it ajs the one that put in hard work wilder to seems to want a free ride so it’s alright if AJ is like forget wilder he hasn’t done much imo
