Both to blame but IMO more so for Canelo.

GGG now wants more money after agreeing a purse. I'm split on this as yes be screwed around is not nice and feels like he wants compensation, which to be fair he deserves. He actully get older which favours Canelo as he is reaching his peak. So should get more but not 50/50. Canelo is the main attraction.

Canelo is more to blame as he has made this situation. The fact that he failed a drug test is the reason the second fight did not happen and should never have been in that situation. He is a multi millionaire that should have someone watching what go in his mouth 24/7. If it was Kell Brook, that would be a hard job.
If is to blame for allowing this to happen.

I had stated before that Canelo would not want to get in the ring with GGG after a year out, which means maybe 19 for the fight to happen. Both only fight twice a year now.

Canelo will fight Spikr, Spike has stated that he did take the GGG fight because something else was in the pipe line, which means golden boy have promised him the Canelo fight.

Boxing is a business and we will never see fights prime vs prime when the both are stars.

Purse splits are divided based on drawing power. And the fact remains that Alvarez is a bigger draw than Golovkin, regardless of what happened in the first fight and the drug test

FACT2:
if Golovkin is as smart as I think he is, he’ll put aside this notion of a 50-50 split – which he knows isn’t realistic

FACT3:
Alvarez has other options that will generate very good money..... And assuming Alvarez continues to win, his recent issues will begin to recede into the past

I'm with GGG on this 1, if Clenelo didn't pop dirty we wouldn't have this conversation, instead of talking about result of the fight now again we wondering will happen or not. It's all Clenelos fault and he should pay for it...

GGG compromised a lot in the first fight. Why wouldn't Canelo do the same after this meat circus? Settle it at 40%-45% for GGG and make it happen. GGG should not be the one to roll over all the time, not after most see him as the winner of the first fight. GGG is a clean fighter and the belt holder, the name to beat at Canelo's division. But no, Canelo will do the runner and go fight GGG's leftovers in Lemiuex. He is a coward and a diva with zero confidence that he can beat GGG. He has a chance to become undisputed in 2 fights, but no, he will whine about 10% increase because he messed up. Canelo behaves like a YouTube celebrity. Be a man, be a warrior. If you really are... They will tank this fight, 95% it won't happen. GGG proves again he is the boogie man of the MW division whether you have the sense to acknowledge that or not. Fact 2 is not a fact. It is wishful thinking and an opinion. Just sayin. And 50/50 offer might be negotiating tactics, ever thought of that? Why wouldn't team Clenbuterol counter with 60/40 split? Compromise is when both sides take a loss, anything else is a rollover.

If they wanted more money that should of been brought up at the beginning of negotiations weeks ago not at last minute before signing when everything was agreed days before.ggg team were trying to be slick playing games to get more money and canelo wasn't playing there games and told them You will get your contract rates or you will get your contract cancelled. O'Sullivan, perhaps? You don't like last minute negotiations? It's annoying, I agree, but not inconprehensible in business world, nor in itself should be a deal breaker. Remember who gave GGG the tools to renegotiate the deal. And also remember who cancelled the fight a few weeks before May 5 and why.
