I was sort of surprised when he said he'd take the fight after a year off, which I genuinely think he wants to, but golden boy probably sees it as high risk. I do think that GGG deserves a better split than their offer after the sketchy outcome of that first fight and then the failed tests. A show of good faith. There's plenty of money to be made. We'll probably never see the rematch if it's not next, and that's fine. There's definitely not as much excitement for it with the year and a half to two year time lapse by the time it would go down. How is it GGG fault that Canelo tested positive and had the fight cancelled? Why is GGG wrong for asking for 50/50 split when the majority of the world feels that GGG won the fight? Canelo had to get shamed into enrolling in the drug testing program. GGG didn't want the fight so bad that he waited almost 2 years to fight Canelo. GGG didn't take a fight because GBP said he could get injured and the first fight would be called off. GGG did everything GBP asked to get the first fight , Now he is wrong for asking for an even split? Neither one of the fighters are PPV draws.
