Lightweight contender Evens Pierre broke Francisco Contreras down Thursday night, winning by knockout in round seven at the Karibe Contention Center in Petionville, Haii. Pierre (30-1, 20 knockouts), who resides in nearby Port-au-Prince, mostly dominated the action from the opening bell. Pierre landed a shot to the body, dropping Contreras to the canvas. Referee Samuel Burgos counted Contreras out at 59 seconds.
