Kownacki plastered Szpilka in his last fight, so maybe The Pill is kaputski. But then I read that Kownacki is permanently suspended by NYSAC according to Box Rec, but I can't find any further details. It would be interesting to find out why he was suspended there.

I think Szpilka is probably done at top level, Wilder ejected his soul from his body and then he got ripped apart by Kownacki. Time for a crossroads fight for The Pin. Somebody like Chazz Witherspoon, Derric Rossy, BJ Flores or Joey Dawejko next to see what he has left in the tank.

I remember back around 2004 when HBO had a night of the young heavyweights show. They feature Juan Carlos Gomez, Joe Messi and Guinn. Guinn looked like the best of the bunch until he lost to Monte Barrett in Arkansas. He was never the same after that.

I remember when he fought Duncan Dokiwari in like 2004. He was considered the best American heavyweight prospect at the time. It's too bad that his career never quite panned out. I was a fan for sure.

It says "suspended by New York State Athletic Commission indefinitely" on many fighter's profiles on boxrec. I think it just means they fought recently and cannot fight again (hence suspended). It says the same on Wilder's because of the recent Ortiz fight.

Take Kevin Johnson with him, please.

Watched a couple rounds, couldn't belive Guinn is still fighting. He phoned it in but got a few nice shots in.

Szpika had a nice run at heavy, didn't he? I remember thinking he was crazy when he moved up.

ah, sounds kinda lame. i really dig szpilka but seein him take a dive against kownacki was a real bummer. id like to see him face a fringe contender and get some good fights.

That's what I was thinking, but the 'indefinitely' part is what throws me off. Maybe these state boxing commissions and/or Boxrec need to revamp how they do it.
