Why doesn't Golovkin just take the same deal that was in place for May 5?

He already agreed to it before.

Oh well, I guess it's Derevyanchenko next for him. For far less money on regular HBO.

Incompetency should not be rewarded. It's not like Canelo can earn that kind of money without Golovkin either so I'm fine with this. Screw GBP.

Canelo can be on PPV against any number of opponents. He won't skip a beat.

          It's Golovkin who needs him.

You are paid based on what you draw what you bring to the table financially. GGG agreed to terms early this year but he is the one holding up the fight in sept because he demanding more money despite not bringing any new money to the table. So either walk on principle or stop ducking and sign the contract. Right now he pricing himself our. It's more money then you have ever made and more then anyone else can pay you plus you a almost 40 year old B side who can't sell PPV or sell out the stubhub LMAO
Can you please tell us what the fianancial terms are since you seem to be on the inside of the negotiations.

... sure... but I suspect that the money from the court might be significantly from the actual rematch...

This has to be Oscar negotiating in public. I say the fight still happens.
              ... very likely...

... With Linares losing his title to Lomachenko, Sadam Ali losing his title to Munguia, and Jo Jo Diaz losing his title shot against Gary Russell all in the space of a week, GB must be very sad right now.

Read the article before commenting you won't sound as foolish .
Loeffer admits that GGG made Alot of concessions the first fight so THEY ( Team GGG ) think they deserve a better deal . Although he brings nothing to the table financially .
Seems like Golovkin's the one pricing himself out by what his Promoters saying .
He is the MW to beat. The kingpin. Beating him crosses you onto another level. Clenelo and his cokehead promoter do not want to fight. Needs that meat again.
