  • Comments Thread For: Jermall Charlo: Me & My Brother Open to Hearing Hearn's Offers

The Charlo brothers appear more interested than Adrien Broner in working with British promoter Eddie Hearn. Jermall Charlo told ESPN.com on Wednesday night that he and his twin brother, Jermell Charlo, are "definitely open to" discussing potential promotional deals with Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA. Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs), the WBC's interim middleweight champion, and Jermell Charlo (30-0, 15 KOs), the WBC super welterweight champ, both work with adviser Al Haymon, but neither fighter has a contract with a promoter.

I wonder what Charlo's reaction would be when the first fight he would get from Hearn is Jacobs or Sulecki considering the stable isn't so steep for Matchroom. Sulecki might give him hell, his power at 160 is yet to be tested considering Centeno was brutally knocked out by the guy mostly considered "featherfisted"

If Hearn signs Jermall and Jermell, I hope they get to fight Jacobs and Brook IMMEDIATELY! Things didn't work so well for Ortiz and Miller! Jacobs and Murata is a no-brainer, and that hasn't materialized yet either! Bob is a snkae, but he might be the best option, if they feel they need a promoter.

Makes sense if the moneys right?? I hope they sign with Hearn instead of Bob. The only fighters Bob has around them is Murata and Gilberto. Hearn seems to be able to work with anyone jnlike Top Skank

          April 20, 2018:

Centeno has one career loss - a 10th round stoppage at the hands of Maciej Sulecki - and that experience for the 27-year old native of Oxnard, California has proven to be a valuable lesson for him.

"I got to a point in my career where all I had to do was make weight for most of these guys and I could beat them. My skill was good enough alone. So they called me on a four week notice for that fight and I was like, 'Yeah man, this guy's undefeated and it would be a great victory and put me in a great position to fight these big guys. All you have to do is make the weight? Let's take the fight.'"

That decision proved to be disastrous as he faced Sulecki in Chicago in June of 2016.

"I took the fight - it just completely backfired on me. I tried to make the weight all last minute, I couldn't even make weight the weight. We had to pay a fine, I could rehydrate only eight or ten pounds or something like that and come fight night I was psyching myself out,'yeah man, I'm good, I'm good, I'm fine, everything's good.' Third round comes, I was completely dead. I was just zapped and I had nothing left in the tank and I can't take back a loss. It is what it is but I learned a lot from that and I haven't taken time off since."

J-Rock spanked him and made him quit. How is he any different except coming up with an excuse for his first official loss? The guy is chinny, the guy was getting dominated by J-Rock except J-Rock couldn't finish him because the guy quit on his stool and was able to make it a NC, and Sulecki solidified that by KHTFO and dominated him from start to finish who he himself is not even a puncher while Charlo, who has power, destroyed him in 2 rounds, providing consistency that this guy is chinny and is and was never going to stand a chance.

You can't slice it and dice it to make Charlo's win look good because this guy is a chinny D level fighter that is made for world beaters.

They saw and realized getting paid $2+ million dollars per fight for a 3 fight deal is a GREAT DEAL.

That's only 1-year of your career. Build up your name with those three fights, and after the deal is done, re-negotiate because hopefully the two of them win their fights and have better exposure. At the end of the day, Hearn is a promoter, and I never hear any of his fighters complain about money.

Do they come as a package? Let's be honest, it's Jermall that excites. I stay up to watch his fights, not so much Jermell, though.

Jermall would do to Sulecki, the same thing he did to Centeno AND J-ROCK! If Sulecki knew what's good for him, he'll take that azz back to 154 ASAP!
