Yeah man I've called McDonnell the 'Cat-Burglar' -- hes a slippery one, the fact that he still holds the WBA 'regular' title after multiple close/controversial calls speaks to Jamie's fox like qualities ; I can see McDonnell avoiding/spoiling the finish.

If linares vs loma taught me something it's that size will always play a factor. I just tend to forget that because of Pac but then he's a freak of nature.Even if jamie is not linares he's still bigger and inoue is moving up we don't know if he carries the same power and even if he did opponents might not react the same way he's used to. But if we're talking about talent then for sure inoue wins this by ko and a wide ud at the very least.

Both the main event in semi should be excellent matchups... Lopez to lose and I picked Jamie to lose also... about like this should be on free live TV...

I'd say we can wait on that a bit. IF he wins that would be good victory for sure, but then he would have a string of signature fights in the super series where he will be continually tested. Again IF he makes it through that lot (and he may well go the whole way), then one of the top P4P for sure.

McDonnell is an underrated fighter, this is a tough one for him though. He didn't look too good in the weigh-in also.

Inoue looks the goods and you imagine he will carry his power up with him. McDonnell can get dragged into a scrap once he's tagged and that could be dangerous for him.
I can see Inoue getting a late stoppage.

I used to live in Kagurazaka, and about a mile away was the Teiken gym, so I met a lot of fighters there. Even Linares.
yeah, I meant to ask you if Linares was still training out of Japan, or was that just in the past to turn pro quicker?

and good to see I was right about the Inoue fight, though I expected a couple rounds haha

He comes back to Tokyo, but trains elsewhere.

Inoue his name means above the well.
