If Tarver had George Foreman type power or like Tyson or Lewis power, then even a 49 year old could do something. But he doesn't have that, and it is quite an age. Hopkins was doing ok at 49 against Kovalev although lost a one -sided decision, but at least didn't get knocked out. Then Bhop at just under 51 couldn't really do much against Joe Smith. Archie Moore went well late into 40s as a light heavy. But yeah, Tarver aint beating Wilder or Joshua.

Antonio Tarver? At this age, why does he want to put his body thru the rigors of "training?"......I thought he was sellings vacuums or doing something far less strenuous......He fought a depleted Roy who quickly came down in weight from heavyweight for the fight.

The shot he caught Roy with is what really established his name/career, and made him a household name for the game....Hopkins then came with the deja vu after Tarver lost weight for his movie role. This is most likely a "comeback" for money......Roy/Tarver 4 is at hand!! ......jus kidding..... hey who knows, they may try to get paid promoting this geriatric bonanza

Madness. There is nothing to prove here, the guy just wants a paycheck. I don't know if he lost all his money through alimony, child support, ******** or drugs but I'm sure he has no money. Some of these boxers are not very smart and often make bad decisions or are exploited by unscrupulous people.

I think he wants this because it still makes Roy that much greater - the fact that he actually won the HW title from Ruiz - Tarver is going to try to do that to 'up' Roy.

Also, Roy was probably one of history's greatest boxing specimens ever in his prime, so I don't ever compare him to Tarver in that regard. Roy, to me, is ranked much higher than Tarver just because of how damn great he was
