    BoxingScene.com has been advised that WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez (20-0, 17 KOs) is about to find himself in the middle of a legal battle between Sampson Boxing and Top Rank. Benavidez is apparently negotiating a promotional agreement with Top Rank.

      Let's hope Benavidez doesn't end in the same situation as Mikey Garcia or Artur Beterbiev, waiting ages from a fight to another - or just waiting.

              Dumb. David should have waited till after his next defense at least. Hopefully this doesn't amount to a long period of inactivity.

                  Why would he leave in the middle of a promotional contract that he just re-signed? He was about to get an easy pay day against Matt Korobov as the co main in LA. Now he's going to sit, collect dust, and possibly get stripped of his WBC title.

                      woth mikey close to signing with ufc or hearns I wouldn’t be surprised if that whole card is canceled

                              I doubt rank would mess with David unless there was a buy in his contract. Let’s see how this plays out.

                                  This is ****ed up on Top Rank's part because Sampson Boxing will work with any and everybody. They're also good at finding those S. American no names who will come in and pull an upset.
