Stop with the lies! GGG was champ for 4 years by the time Martinez fought Cotto. Sergio also fought Murray year prior to that. Prior to Cotto it was who has Golovkin fought? Then it was he doesn't bring enough money. That went on for years bro, not a couple months like this has just started, short memory you have there.

Why everyone acting like canelo vs ggg happening this year?
I think it is clear that canelo will have another easy tune up after clen/surgery mess. Since they both figthing twice a year, ggg can actually give derevyanchenko a shot on titles and fight canelo next may.

By not fighting that "no name Ukrainian", GGG is now in danger of losing the IBF belt (or will have to adjust all his fighting schedule and maybe move the Canelo money fight further away), so it was clearly a duck.
I understand the reasons why GGG ducked Derevyanchenko, and maybe it was the right thing to do, but a duck is a duck -- it's so obvious that it would be ****** to deny that.

Well let's hope the IBF has some sense and allows GGG to fight Canelo without being stripped of the belt, because I can guarantee 100% anyone else would do the same thing. Avoiding him makes sense. For that fight you need to prepare for him. Not just jump in. Also, preseve that canelo pay day. Folks might hate that. But its a business and a job. Who would really risk their money and work for just “respect.” Lets be real. We all work to get paid.

Yeah i remember those days clearly. Martinez had two or three fights after GGG made his debut in america in 2012. Martinez was criticised even though he was injured for long after the chavez fight, and took a gimme fight with Murray in 2013 and then finally his payday against Cotto in 2014.

Somehow he was supposed to fight the unknown GGG who made his american debut two weeks or so before the chavez fight.
