That being said, what they SHOULD have done was scrap May 5, make ONE offer to Dibella, wait 48 hours, and then send it to purse bid for a June fight with Derev......

The Vanes fight was a bad look.

That works in theory from a buisness/management perspective, but from a practical (fighters) perspective, it'd be a hinderance in more ways than one. It's easy to see how everything panned out as it did, but still no easy answer if you are GGG at 36 yrs old, training for the fight of your life, focused on May 5th. He was in camp earlier than Canelo, obviously very committed, then having the prospect of adding another 6 weeks to an already gruelling training camp.

As a fighter at 36 years, I can't say I would make a different call even though it's wiser from a business sense.

Yeah because cherry picking a semi retired JMW trained by an incompetent MMA coach was much better ... Whether Derev wins or not is not the point. The point is GGG put his belt at risk for no reason.

Vacate the belt and let Derevyanchenko fight Charlo and fight the winner in 2019 or fight both guys, one after the other for the same end result.

Not a difficult decision to make.

whether you accept that reasoning or not, Golovkin ducked his mando

          my issue is this.....

the IBF rules state that if you participate in an unsanctioned contest..... win-or-lose, you will be stripped..... and the IBF totally refused to sanction Vanes

Team Bullshht applied for an exception, which was approved..... IF Golovkin agreed to fight Derevyanchenko in August

Golovkin initially agreed to that. so he could proceed with the Vanes cherry-pick..... but now, he has sought legal action to defer Derevyanchenko

it is the continual lying from that team that p1sses me off

not only did they lie to the fans about avoiding Derevyanchenko, they lied to the IBF about fighting him next

Team Easy-Way-Out..... doing their thang since 2010 lol

              1. GGG signs to fight Canelo
              2. IBF Strips GGG and make Sergiy vs. Andrade (Finally! and I don't think Charlo or Jacobs gives up that WBC Canelo/GGG winner $$$$)
              3. IBF let's GGG (If wins) fight the winner like some Thurman sht.
The catch is??? IBF Champion vs. Challenger payout. And Sergiy WILL want it to go to purse bid... Check
1- Against the higher rated boxer & they have unfinished business, yet some complaining?
2- What makes you think Andrade will take it this time around? SDchenko just may end up fighting Langford or Bejaran for the vacant belt. Imagine the pay-day & notoriety that will garner!
3- So after GGG drops belt he'll try to get it back & take the smaller cut? He'd have at least 4 other contenders to pick from for higher pay-days, oh btw all higher rated fighters as well!

I'm all for SDchenko & any other top contender fighting, it'll help solidify their standing, just doubt anyone else is giving up their spot in the check cash line either.

I don't agree with ducking a mando when you look at the circumstances. It's pretty narrow minded view imo.

The rest of what you say is fair (for once).

Yes, they're hypocrisy is quite amazing. Everyone on the SDchenko train just to see GGG lose a belt, like that proves something? Sergiy could have used this year to build his name, yet he chose to take a soft touch & preserve his IBF rating with no risk. What happened to taking on a top challenger himself?

The haters complain about Vanes who was picked on short notice & for good reason, yet all these so called contenders doing the exact same thing, with months upon months work a deal. Jacobs, Charlo & Sergiy last opponents were even worse! Vanes was picked to beat Sulecki & would have also been favored to beat Centeno & Johnson.
