Glad someone finally said this. Munguia just as it was with Miguel Berchelt only owed Golden Boy Promotions one fight.

So Golden Boy better make that fight worth it for them because afterwards he's all Zanfer's.

Zanfer's Promotions has Berchelt, Munguia, and Nery. They should figure out who they will attach there company with state side to further develop there promotion.

I would try to shop the trio to Showtime and ESPN first then bring them to HBO last to overpay.

But I agree with you HBO would be wise to invest.

In my opinion all 3 of these do solid numbers are young fighters that they should invest in.

I like and get your point. Lets be honest whether fighters want to admit it or not if Golden Boy Promotions was guaranteeing an eventual showdown with Canelo a lot of fighters from 147 to 160 would sign with their company. Canelo and Anthony Joshua are the only fighters that can make their opponents right now generational type money.

If Golden Boy is offering lets say a 5 fight contract with a guarantee of Canelo being the 4th or 5th fight I would sign with no hesitation if I was Munguia.

The problem is Golden Boy doesn't want another contract dispute like they had with All Star boxing with Canelo. Even though they technically were right Canelo eventually had to pay them money. So if Munguia wants that he needs to look at Zanfer and see if he can buy them out or figure a way for the two companies to co-promote.

A co-production would help his career. Golden Boy could get him steady work with world level opponents. 28 of his wins came against Mexican opposition and I can't see how a fighter can grow if they keep fighting similar opposition their whole career

Not just Canelo but better opposition. He can run through all of Mexico but nobody would take notice.
