I don't think I've ever used the word "coward" to describe a fighter. However, if a fighter who claims to be at the top of his division somehow avoids fighting the other guy(s) at the top of the same division, I sure won't call him a "hero".Comment

I don't know bro, I wouldn't call quitting because your eye socket is broken a coward move. That's his freakin' EYE, man!Forget the Floyd BS...
That’s irrelevant.
But you make a very good point with the firefighter comparison. Boxing is their JOB they have a responsibility to box/ with honour and integrity.
Fighters cannot be compared with normal human beings the same way firefighters can’t. They can only be compared and held to the same standards that their peers have set.
If a fighter BLATANTLY quits like Brook, Rigo etc they are a certainly a coward.Comment

Come on, Larry. Wilder had agreed to guest-commentate Joshua's fight. Once he found out that he couldn't get in the ring to try to take some of the luster from him, he cancelled the entire trip?? He could have still been a presence and he most certainly would have been asked on the air about a fight with AJ. Who really pulled the beeatch move here?Comment

does he not fight professional boxers at HW for a living? how is he a coward, given your original post?
all i want is some consistency, larrbear. how can you shift your goalposts just because of how somebody looks, where he comes from, etc, and expect people to take you seriously?Comment

joshua's team, primiarly. they're the ones who want the fight least. if anybody is a coward it is eddie hearn. in reality, none of them are cowards, they just make a sh#tload of money that we don't see, and that's what motivates them. what wilder and joshua do takes brass balls. same with what eddie does. you need a brass set of stones to guarantee money to your fighters, take a ton of risk, and hope you profit at the end.Comment
