Lomachenko was already fighting at 132 pounds (Lightweight in the amateurs) back in 2011. I consider Lightweight his natural weight. Most amateurs turning pro fight a division lower so they can have a size advantage against their more experienced opponents, which levels the playing field a bit. But Lomachenko fought two divisions lower. He went from Lightweight to Featherweight!

It's all good for Lomachenko to have a size advantage over 126 and 130 pounders but god forbid anyone has a size advantage over Lomachenko! His Alt-Right fans start crying about white genocide.

While Lomachenko was fighting at 132 all through 2011 and 2012 guess what weight Mikey Garcia was fighting at? 126! Mikey Garcia is too big for Lomachenko doe!

Fact of the matter is Lomachenko barely started fighting guys his size against Linares (a bit bigger in this case) and he didn't look so dominant.

We won't know until it happens but I honestly think Mikey is too big a step. I actually thought he'd breeze through Linares. Mikey is a much better and stronger fighter than Jorge. P4P, Loma is #1 for me. But I don't think Mikey is his same size.

I hate feeding into those discussions but it's true in Loma's case and needs to be talked about. If he was a Mexican, Rican, Brit, etc fighting like that, some of these guys would mark out on Beiber like levels. But, he's white, from a place people can't relate to, and is kinda nerdy, so the objective becomes, "how can we discredit this guy".

I don't give a *** what color he is, if he's straight, gay, or prefers kitchen utensils, the guy has major talent and should be appreciated.

He was a full grown 27 year old when he was a professional champion at 126. That is his natural fighting weight as a pro not 135. Amateurs weigh in the day of the fight and not the day before so amateur fighting weight is heavier than pro fighting weight. Loma is a 135 pound champion now and so is Mikey. As a Loma fan I have no problem with him fighting Mikey at 135 and I would bet money on Loma to win. Loma should not be fighting Mikey or Manny at 140 because that is way to heavy for him. !35 is his ceiling weight and he is the best fighter in the world at 126, 130 and 135 in my opinion.

You seem to have some strange idea that Loma can fight way below his proper fighting weight and gain a huge amount of weight in 32 hours and have a big advantage over his opponents. That is total BS and just an excuse for his success. Any time a boxer goes too far below his natural fighting weight it will weaken him severely and he won't get that strength back in 32 hours. Loma is no different than any other boxer.He can't lose and then gain back any more weight than any other boxer without harming himself. He didn't outweigh his opponents on fight night when he fought at 126 and 130. That is just your crybaby hater way to try to discredit his success.

Amateurs do same day weigh-ins. He was much smaller than Linares, and even Walters. He should move back down to 130, and you should stop crying every time he wins

Are you kidding? Loma looked way bigger than Gary Russel Jr and he looked almost as big as Linares. He's not very tall but he's thick and muscular. You Homachenko fans simply don't want him to fight Mikey Garcia and that's why you're already making excuses for him.

This. I ain't saying nothing about his skills. It's just people act like he's rising through weights like Mayweather or Pacquiao and winning titles but really he is finally fighting at his weight.

Mayweather and Pacquiao both turned pro as teenagers, man, when they still had a lot of growing still to do. The situations are generally relatively comparable if you look at what they all achieved in terms of weight climbing at similar ages in the pro ranks. Floyds most natural weightclass after he was grown is probably as a smallish WW, Mannies probably Jr WW and Lomas probably Jr LW. All three have fought a division above their natural weight and could probably have success beyond that but would run into problems with the real top guys at 160, 154 and 140 respectively.

Size matters, man.
