Stevenson showed the heart of a champion

Not much is being made of Stevenson's chin and how he gutted it out while dead tired and also made some fundamental adjustments to engage Jack. Great performance by the old man. He preserved his title...Comments?

That comeback in the 11th was great for a 40 year old. He did just fine considering his age.

I was surprised that he was able to perform as well as he did given his age and time off. It's pretty impressive actually.
As annoyed as I am by the dude, he's a pretty good fighter. He just doesn't take legit fights often enough.

I mean, that's never really been a question once he's in the ring. He's gutted out tough fights late before. The problem is he then spends years avoiding tough fights once he's shown heart in the ring.

          Very good sign

I see his career finally heating up for his 55th birthday at this rate

I think he’s the type of guy who will truly go out on his shield. He has no quit and it’s amazing that he’s still able to perform at this level at 40. I wasn’t surprised at his ability to adjust tbh because he’s showed that in the past (I think most notably against Fonfara I and against Williams Jr). I think he’s a true champion and he’s where he is for a reason - that championship mentality.

I really hate to agree here, but I do. Adonis is one of my least favorite fighters in history. Never fights, weak competition, piece of **** past, the whole nine. But on Saturday he dug deep and showed the heart of a champion in front of his fans.

He ran out of gas completely and showed lots of heart to hang in there when he was exhausted and taking a beating. His short comeback in round 11 and staying on his feet in round 12 saved his title.
