Sad that it resorted to that. Roach and Pacquiao were a legendary duo. I remember on a HBO 24/7 episode(forgot which one, I think it was for one of the Marquez fights), Roach said Pacquaio was legitimately a son to him and his eyes got watery saying that. Poor guy.

If he really thought of Pacquiaoas a son he wouldnt have made all those degrading statements about Pacquiao for all these years. Hes buddy buddy when it suits him but when he can get headlines he has no problem throwing Pac under the bus. I dont feel sorry for Roach at all. At times he defended him staunchly but at other times he had you scratchibg your head like why tf would he say that? Even if thats how he felt he shouldnt have made statements that would hurt his fighter. Manny made Roach a very wealthy man, hes lucky he didnt get **** canned years ago

When it was reported that Pavquiao fired Roach the reason given was the statements that Roach gave that Pacquiao didnt like, especially when Roach said Pac should retire after the Horn fight. If i was Pac I would have been miffed too. Horn is a world class fighter and legit top 5 or so welterweight and most people believe Pacquiao won the fight, then here is Roach coming out of left field saying Pacquiao should retire. IfI were in Pacquiaos shoes I would consider that treason as well

The most recent ones were after the Jeff Horn fight Roach said Pacquiao should retire. He was just being honest im sure but still Horn was a legit top 10 welterweight at the time and Most ppl believe Pac won. He may have slowed down from his prime but hes obviously still good enough to beat the Jessie Vargas's and Jeff Horns of the sport. Saying Pacquiao should retire is basically saying he felt Pacquiao lost and isnt the same fighter anymore, which could only hurt Mannys drawing power and ultimately his money. He should have consulted Pac before saying that to the media, IMO

When he stopped juicing or because he got old? He was still strong enough to drop Tim Bradley 2x, Jessie Vargas, Brandon Rios, Shane Mosely, break Margaritos eye socket, ect ect, all fighters who normally have had rock solid chins. None of them were the same after fighting Pacquiao either. Old age catches up to every fighter so unless you have some proof he was juicing yoi really shouldnt be saying that. He never came to fights covered in acne or needed a massive injection of saline and vitamins when usada inspectors showed up
