Does Quality trump quantity in a resume?

    Lets say Fighter A beats:

    Terrence Crawford
    Keith Thurman
    Errol Spence
And in between those three he had fought

    Sotto Karass
40 year old Joe Louis Castillo
    Samuel Vargas

And then Fighter B Fought and beat
    Danny Garcia
    Shawn Porter
    Amir Khan
    Lamont Peterson
    Marcos Maidana
    Lucas Mathysse
    Jessie Vargas

Who do you consider have a better resume?

I'd say Fighter B has the better record there. I don't think the guys you listed under fighter B are so much worse than the wins that Fighter A has, though.

Depends if you're talking about rank or P4P. People always want to "prove" a P4P discussion with a resume but there is no proving something so subjective as P4P because it also accounts for perceived skill. HOW did he look when he won those fights? If P4P was measurable, we wouldn't be arguing about it month after month, year after year.

Fighter A has three from top ten pound for pound, at the very least he has the three best fighters in his division on his resume( presuming fighter a isnt a middleweight :P) fighter b has zero fighters from top ten pound for pound and none of the top 3 in the division so I would say fighter A has the better resume. obviously both would be amazing records

if all of those wins are considered prime opponents then its fighter B hands down.

Do people argue about p4p? I hadn't noticed.

I'm not sure who's better but fighter A and fighter B need to fight each other.
