Badou Jack's Power Seems Inconsistent at 175

I've never seen a fighter get that many chances at a KO, and still come up short. Badou Jack hit an old and tired Adonis Stevenson with everything but the kitchen sink, yet couldn't even drop the guy. The beating was so bad, that the commentators even called it an assault. Then, Stevenson managed to stun Jack with a body shot in the late rounds, and the rest of the match was a mud fight. It's weird, because he stopped Nathan Cleverly in his last fight, so he has power. However, if he couldn't finish Stevenson, I don't know if his power will be good enough against guys like Bivol, Beterbiev and Kovalev.

In my opinion, Jack was better off at 168. He had potential rematches against George Groves and James DeGale at that division. The only good reason I can think of, for why he moved up, is that he simply couldn't make weight anymore. If this is true, it sucks.

Agreed. He couldn’t stop a half dead inactive 40 year old. Sad actually. Jack has no one to blame but himself for all these draws he’s getting

Where was his power at 168? He was never the KO artist

wtf you talking about, jack never was a big puncher but jack was only able to hit stevenson maybe once at the end of his punch and it wobbled stevenson a bit but their was still life on stevenson side and everything else jack hit em with was a but smothered but I think that was more to the game plan then anything else.

You act like jack hit stevenson with 5 big rights at the end of the punch back to back to back which wasnt the case.

Jack fought a smart fight a lil too smart and it cost him, and the reason he fougth smart was cause stevenson legit has 1 ko punch power and it was demonstrated in the 11th when stevenson took the fight back with 1 body shot.

That was because Stevenson was clinching for dear life, to an illegal degree. Luckily that ref was on his side the whole night so he got saved.

If that was so, the ref could have easily deducted 1 point from Jack for low blows.

Stevenson hasn't been dropped in years, he has a pretty solid chin and he's been fighting at 175 a lot longer than Jack, Jack was never the biggest KO puncher but he has decent power. I think Badou's biggest mistake was waiting way too long to start working, I understand he was trying to drag the fight to the late rounds so that Stevenson gets tired and loses his power and that worked to a certain degree, but he could've won more rounds early and he could've started pressing forward a round or 2 earlier than he did without risking that much more.

Rematch MUST happen and it should be in the US.

When did he ever have power? People keep attributing talents to Jack that he never had.
168 is garbage right now and it would be easier, competition wise. But, if he can't make the weight safely then he can't make the weight.
