I would be surprised, but that would prove how good Sergiy is, rather than how bad GGG is.

So if they manage to make that fight happen for GGG next, and he gets Sergiy out of there in under 6, what will the new excuses be, because I guarantee you there will be plenty?

So let's start off the list here.

Some I call out will be "Sergiy only had 12 pro fights doe", "He is 32 now, so already shot and past him prime", "GGG cherry picked Sergiy due to his lack of experience in the pros", "Sergiy was paid off to take a dive"
i also think he stops sergiy, but no need for this fantasy scenario, ggg loses to canelo in september, sergiy wont be his mando no more...

He should've fought him instead of Vanes.

Derevyachenko is a good boxer but nothing special.

GGG will kill him in 7 rounds.

There can't be any excuses. I can bring up the old threads if needs be later, they all said he was dangerous, a legitimate threat that golovkin ducked. They rate him very highly and I can find comments to back that up.

              Is anyone picking Sergij?

I think GGG takes it, he's got a granite chin and Sergij won't be able to put a dent in it so he's **** out of luck.

There is a good possibility that Sergij can outwork him, but I think he gets KOd before that happens.

But it would be a legit win for GGG.

A lot of people here did leading up to the Vanes fight. It was nauseating. But when GGG runs through the guy, this place will be a contradiction the way it has always been.

From Tom Loeffler's interview yesterday, it seems like Derevyanchenko was not ready to fight for May 5th.

                  […..]

"Really it shouldn't have even come into play because under the circumstances - that were outside of Gennady's control - it was the WBC's turn. Derevyanchenko wasn't up to fighting May 5. So it wasn't really putting him back. If the IBF wants to now impose their mandatory, that's really where this starts and I can sit down and negotiate with Lou (DiBella) and see what their position is."

                    He’s not losing to him.

Loma Rigo was supposed to be a good tactical battle too.
