This was all a well orchestrated plan by Bob. He knew Pacquiao would never step in the ring with Crawford. So he found horn who he figured would gain popularity with a specific demographic by beating Pacquiao and then he'd feed him to Crawford. And here we are.

I actually believe this. Like Arum is such a scumbag that he would be the type to pull something like that.

I've heard conspiracy theories like that in the past. It just doesn't make any sense though. Horn isn't interesting enough.
The 'specific demographic' that he is popular with is basically his close family.

I think young fighters who have star potential may have promoters pull shady things on their behalf. But no-one could ever mistake Horn for having that kind of potential. He has the charisma of a potato, and isn't even a good looking potato.

Horn was meant to be an easy win for Pacquiao. He ended up winning. That wasn't planned - it was a mistake. Who would bother setting up a boring ass potato to win? Those theories just fall down right there.

Doubtful. More likely, neither guy really wants to fight the other again, because they both know it's a career shortening fight either way.

arum had to act quickly to get Crawford a credible win at the weight he'd make the most money at. This is the same promtor who set up delahoya vs Chavez and then delahoya vs pac. He wanted pac to play that role for Crawford and when he realized that wouldn't happen, he had to get pac to lose to someone quickly and then arrange for that person to face Crawford. It's not the ideal scenario but it's all he could pull off so Crawford would beat the guy who beat the guy.

I did not realize the US had such a large community of Australian expats.
