  • Judging Stevenson based on his past

Says more about you than it does about Stevenson. This guy did horrible things as a TEENAGER yet people are claiming that he's a horrible person to this day. It's a damn fact that people have turned their lives around after doing horrible things. Stevenson is a damn good fighter and that's why I like him. I don't dislike a fighter because of something he did as a teenager. I'm not a judgmental piece of **** like a lot of you here.

He wasn't a teenager... Personally I don't judge him for his past but more for his kidnapping of the belt.

Sorry he became a pimp when he was a teenager living on the streets. My bad.
I'd also blame Al for the kidnapping of the belt Stevenson isn't the only extremely inactive wealthy Haymon managed fighter.

I agree he shouldn't be hated for bad things he did long ago when has changed for the better. He has the dedication to be a champion at age 40. He could have been a better champion and fought more often against better opponents. He isn't the worst champion and has fought a few top contenders. He is fighting Jack now and Jack is a top contender. If he wins I hope he continues to fight top challengers more often than once a year. I think he will win by KO. At age 40 he is still a monster.

I don't even think about his past. My issue with him is that he's fought sparingly against soft opposition yet talks all this shit. His group of butt lickers are also annoying, but they have shrunk in size due to the same issues that I have with him.

Trying hard not to think about his past to be honest, not going to lie but i just can't warm to him. It looked like he has turn his life around and doing charity events etc so more power to him. Now back to his boxing, totally disappointed by his level of competition. Yes Kovalev ducked a purse bid but i still think Adonis competition should have been better than what it is currently.

In 1998 at age 21, Adonis was convicted to a four year prison sentence for procuring, coercion, and aggravated assault. He was also later convicted of another count of aggravated assault for a fight in prison.

Totally agree. What he did in the past shouldn't have any bearing on how people view him today.

As for him not fighting the best challengers...who exactly didn't he fight?

His biggest challenge was KOVALEV and it was TEAM KOVALEV that pulled out of talks between the two teams when they were negotiating a fight.
