Comments Thread For: Jack Catterall Hopes To Land a World Title Eliminator

Unbeaten super-lightweight Jack Catterall is relishing the prospect of a rocking atmosphere at Elland Road on Saturday. The Chorley star (20-0-KO11) fights Christopher Sebire (26-10-1-KO9) on the Lee Selby v Josh Warrington undercard live on BT Sport and wants to put on a display worthy of someone hunting a world title eliminator this year.

Put him in with Taylor, and watch him lose terribly.

Catteral would squash Taylor like the bug he is.

Taylor beating a bunch of past it fighters means nothings and his win over Davies is meaningless as Davies is nothing special.

Warren gunna hide that WBO from the rest of the division, recycle it with Flanagan vs Catterall, Flanagan vs Davies, Davies vs Catterall, chuck a bit of Tyrone Nurse in there

They're all good interesting fights and will take place over the next 12 months.

            Flanagan is 28
            Catteral is 24
            Davies is 26
            Leather is 26

The eventual winner of all those fights would be in a great position to fight any of the other World Champions at 140 lbs.

Caterall has been well managed and promoted by Frank Warren, took the right fights at the right time, he's still only 24, he has all the tools to get this WBO belt and will have his prime years ahead of him to test himself against the best at 140.
He does however need to get through a world title eliminator against a world level opponent first and then beat the champion(Flanagan or Hooker) but I have high hopes for him.
20 fight undefeated win streak with British, WBO European and WBO Inter-continental titles along the way he is knocking right on the door with a WBO no.4 ranking.
Very well managed fighter and I believe every move he's made has been the correct one too but yeah now is the time Jack get your mandatory position.

                Great analysis on him.

My only knock on him would be that he's changed trainers so many times in the past two years now that it means he's had to take a step back in his progress in order to bed in with the new trainer.
