I don't think the skill level is less, I think the current crop are talented, but they are a little undersized, and from that point I agree, head to head they would lose to a lot of the names mentioned.

I don't think it's the strongest WW era we have seen, but I definitely would not describe it as weak. Maybe a little small in stature.

It mostly comes down to his frame for me. Porter Pacquiao, Thurman, Garcia, etc are all small as hell compared to Oscar, Tito, etc.

Right now there are no generational fighters at the division. Trinidad is a generational fighter. Meaning that you can put him in any fighting generation and he would compete to be a champ. Spence is still young, but he has the potential to be that. Thurman has pulled the biggest Houdini move since Garry Russel. I can't believe he has still not fought a cab driver. Terrence Crawford is also a generational fighter.

True. The 147 pound division been weak for a while. How about when the division had Leonard, Duran, Hearns and Benitez all competing at the same time?
Then picture Guerrero and Danny Garcia fighting for the vacant WW title. SMH

Tito would either be the GOAT or a bum feasting on a weak division depending on whom you ask here.

I think today's batch is good. Thurman is a solid guy, Spence is a very good fighter (though not great) and Crawford is a great fighter (though we don't know how he'll be at the weight). Garcia, Porter are solid guys too.

I think Crawford would actually beat all but Tito from that 90's crew and the early 90's Whitaker. Spence I could see having moments with Quartey but spending most of the fight getting jabbed to death and he'd be easily outboxed by De La Hoya and Whitaker. His best shot would be Jose Luis Lopez that's probably 50/50. I don't think Thurman would have much of a chance with any of those guys. Same for Garcia.

That was a golden generation. Donald Curry at his best would be a firm favorite over all of today's guys too. You look at Curry in his prime and it's crazy how he never became a hall of fame lock or great fighter.

Well, then it was a badly drained overrated fighter who dropped 2 divisions after coming off a bad beating v the most dangerous Middleweight in the world.

floyd mayweather would have done just fine in fantasy fights against most top WW. the only guys i'd pick to really wipe the floor with him are robinson, leonard, and hearns, and they're not only three of the best WW ever, but three very big, robust WW with power ranging from very good to some of the best ever.

i think he beats donald curry and trinidad. tito might hurt him, but floyd's movement would have him lost at sea, and floyd's chin was actually pretty f#cking good! i think he'd be whooping tito's ass by the end f the fight! only thing tito really does better is punch and he's big.
