French flyweight Brahim Asloum takes on Nicaraguan Miguel Tellez for the vacant WBA I/C 112 lb title on July 15 in Le Cannet. WBA light heavyweight champ Fabrize Tiozzo will appear in a non-title ten-rounder. Should all go well Tiozzo will make a defense of the title on September 30 in Lyon. Promoter Michel Acaries will present all details at a press conference in Lyon (Tiozzo´s hometown) June 28. Also on the bill is former EBU supermiddle ruler Jackson Chanet, to remain at 168 despite rumors of moving up, and Russian cruiser Valery Brudov.
