A little while after the Callazo fight there were some threads on here about Hatton and his trainer calling out Floyd by saying that they would fight him but Floyd doesnt want the fight and the only way they would stay at 147 is to fight Floyd but he doesnt want it.
Then I made a thread talking about Hatton being slick and dropping names. I talked about how Hatton and his team always say they need more tuneups before Floyd but now that they know Floyd is 100% going for the Oscar fight, they try to come out and make it sound like they want to fight him because they know Floyd wont fight Hatton now, and then they can say "Floyd doesnt want the fight so what can we do".
Now Floyd's fight with Oscar is off and you know he would easily fight Hatton but I bet you wont hear Hatton & Grahm mention Floyd now. There all talk. Im not upset because I dont think Hatton's ready and theres nothing wrong with that but the media and fans on here better stop trying to spin stuff like Floyd wont fight him when its so easy to see that its Hatton who doesnt want it yet. He also said he would definatly fight the winner of Castillo/Chico but now he acts like he has no intrest in a Chico fight. He doesnt think he matches up well with Floyd or Chico. Either of those fights could be made instantly but he doesnt want then, bottom line.
I think the Oscar fight is pretty much off the table, atleast for now and Floyd laid out the list of opponents. There's no way he fights Baldy because there is not enough money in that fight and he wants to be on PPV. If Floyd still had the HBO contract where he could get alot of money for fighting anyone then maybe but no way he fights him now. We all know that Cotto & Hatton wont fight him yet so I think its easily down to 2 fights and a "outside" shot at a 3rd.
The 3rd is Winky but I dont see enough money in that for Floyd. The 2 best fighters in the game would want big money and HBO wouldnt pay them what they think they would deserve for it. Therefore it is down to Margarito or the Vargas/Mosley winner and I think Floyd will go with whoever gives him the most money. Pretty much Ill think he will take the fight that we all want and thats Margarito. I think he would fight the winner of Vargas/Mosley if he gets 10mil for that fight but anything else he takes Margarito.
I just think that Floyd is laughing at people who say's hes scared of Margarito and I honestly believe that he sees a figth with Oscar, Shane, or Vargas at 154 much more dangerous then Margarito at 147. I think if they both offer Floyd 8mil then he takes Margarito because he probally wants to stay at 147 unless its for Oscar and he honestly believes that Margarito would be easier then the other 2.
The only problem with the Margarito fight is that Arum has a open date for October 7th. I think Floyd had his next fight scheduled for November because he will be able to atleast have the fat bald head guy in his corner. He fought Zab on April 8th and Roger got a year suspension but big boy only got 6 months. October 7th would be 1 day before 6 months. How ****ed up is that? In November Arum also has the Pac-Morals PPV so all the dates will be screwed up but I still think the Margartio fight happeneds and Floyd will embarrass him so much that alot of the same fans and media who bragged on Margarito will then try to discredit Floyd by saying "who did Margarito ever beat"? You cant have it both ways.
