Both were undefeated and coming off huge wins against top competition. They didn't lose to Crawford because they are not top tier fighters. They lost because Crawford is elite.
shot mattysse and shot ricky burns?

Ok. I can respect you and chrisjs opinion on Diaz. IMO Diaz is a solid pro but I don't think he was on the same level as either Postol or Indongo.

My point about Indongo and Postol is we need to remember where they were when they fought Crawford and not where they are since Crawford beat them handily.

They weren't shot going into those fights. Matthysse simply got his ass kicked. Burns wasn't great but that was a solid win in his hometown.

burns was shot to **** and mattysse had already been exposed by garcia. i will say the manner in which he beat lucas was decent but im not giving indongo any credit for beating burns, he was shot and undersized, and even in his prime he really wasnt much.

Postal was a good fighter and a good win for Crawford, but Indongo is a complete bum. Can't box for ****, has bad footwork, and has a chin made of pure glass.

He caught Troy cold, so it didn't tell us anything about him. Burns was shot to pieces. They're the only 2 guys he's beat that we know of. He lost against Crawford, but that doesn't tell us he's rubbish fighter. But his fight with Prograis certainly did. That exposed all of his flaws for all to see. So no, he wasn't a good win. Decent, but most certainly not good.

It's not so much that Indongo is good, rather that it takes a good fighter to be able to adapt well to his awkward gangly style... if that makes sense?

Either way, the point has been made before, it's not so much that Bud's opposition is that good, rather it's the manner in which he's dealt with them. I'm unashamedly an eye test guy more than a resume one and Crawford passes with honours.
I get your point about Indongo. You have to be a good fighter to deal with what he brings in the ring.

Yes, he does pass the eye test. I think Crawford's opposition is a bit better than others do. Solid, not spectacular and lacking of "name" value but tough guys that fight hard.

I think you are forgetting Burns had just had a nice little winning streak after the loss to Figueroa, a loss which many felt was a bad decision because the ref took 2 points away.

Burns wasn't a great 140lber by any stretch. But he wasn't shot.

I think the Crawford loss took something out of Indongo. I think Indongo showed he had some skill in beating Burns so thoroughly.

Nah, man. Burns was finished by that point. We saw it in the Beltran and Gonzales fights. Burns hasn't been good since the Mitchell fight.

Diaz is definitely more technically skilled and a much better pure boxer.
