I wonder how much truth there is in this ? lol

    $41 bail ????

    I wouldn't be surprised

Just having a good bit of fun, but I really don't like Mexican beer. Pound that tequila all night long though!

Loma is my boy..... I picked him to be P4P #1 about two years ago...... it may have even been longer

but when comments like yours end up in print..... that a truly elite world-class fighter could be beaten by an alcoholic uber driver..... that is what makes this sport special

boxing history is riddled with examples like that..... you have to be 100% ready for anything in this game lol..... you don't take anyone lightly, and you never look past your next opponent

Loma is close to being (if not already) the best fighter on the planet..... Lebron James is probably the best basketball player on the planet (don't know anything about BB)..... what are the chances that someone like Lebron James could lose a game of 1-on-1 to an alcoholic Uber driver?

          boxing is fkn cool

          green'd

to be fair, Salido was on top of his game back then..... but yea, funny

He keeps thinking about the rematch with LOMACHENKO and watching the 12th round of their first fight and keep making dumb decisions. Yo salido: stop thinking about loMA because you got berchelt problems

those guys understand this game, they know about the many adjustments that a top amateur needs to make in order to be successful as a pro.....

and they know all of the many obvious pitfalls/problems that can wreck a good gameplan..... like, your opponent coming in heavy

FACT: a well-known " given " in boxing is..... you do not put a rookie in there with a vet..... ESPECIALLY not a vet who is..... 1) right on top of his game..... 2) a REAL tough vet, who will be in there no question, for 12 HARD rounds

FACT: you don't break a " given " in boxing..... EVER..... that is why it is called a given

FACT: you don't cut corners, and you don't take shortcuts

Loma had two weaknesses at that point in time..... and Arum matched him up with an opponent who was perfectly positioned to exploit BOTH of them

Arum should never have put Loma in a position where he was going to be the inexperienced opponent for 12 HARD rounds..... because it was possible, even likely, that his guy would be dragged into deep water

and he should never have put him in a position where his opponent simply coming in heavy could leave his inexperienced fighter at such a disadvantage

Loma is obviously a much better fighter than Siri, and because of that experience, would have cleanly/clearly won an immediate rematch imho

I was delighted to see Bob fall flat on his face, but disappointed for Lomachenko

those lessons had already been learned..... but Arum got impatient, and he cut corners..... most likely because he (correctly) saw that Loma was special..... and because he (correctly) had a ton of faith in him to pull off BIG wins..... but, you do not break a "given" in boxing

like a wise man once said.....

" patience you must have my young padawan "

and not only did they expose Loma to those two disadvantages, they did it against a guy who was a bad style match-up

a bad style match up..... for an inexperienced fighter who was not used to going 12 rounds, let alone 12 HARD rounds..... against an opponent who could gain a big advantage simply by coming in heavy, which has been done PLENTY of times in the past..... oldest trick in the book, cheat, and then say sorry .

              horrible decision by Arum
Great analysis! Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Lomachenko had to fight for a living thus becoming what he is now thanks to boxing, after being raised by an alcoholic and violent dad (salido).

Loma was the one that wanted/demanded that fight and it was probably the best thing that ever happened to him. He learned how to fight like a pro in condensed time LOL

two of the many faces of Bob Arum

                      1) such a deplorable cvnt
                      2) despite that fact, likely the best promoter for the small Loma..... what with his contacts/relationships/standing within the sport

anyone can promote someone like Joshua or Wilder
