I live HERE 15min for ACC, on regular radio (people don't have sports radio on in the office) and even few times I went to lunch and my buddy had sports AM radio in the car I didn't hear anything about it...granted it was 30min worth of radio.
Nothing on the subway about the fight.
Facebook...I don't "Facebook" or twatter.
I guess I'm old school, I'm a professional that takes the subway to his job, hits the gym and goes home.
Oh and no one at the gym talking about the fight either.
As a Canadian, anything Stevenson I'm assuming is happening in Montreal. I knew the fight was going down, but despite being on this site at least 4x a week this is the first time I see that its happening here.
Even when I saw this post on BS I thought they were just doing some promo for the fight in Toronto, but its happening in Montreal.
And this is what I mean about boxing being a joke...The promotion is poor. No transit ads, nothing on the street.
So who do they get? The crowd that has time for Facebook? Not knocking on those on Facebook, but if you are 30+ have a family, live in the city and most likely take the train to work you had little chance of finding out about this thing.
I got a group chat with 12 guys, 4 big boxing fans and no one knew that the fight is going down here, and all of them live downtown or Scarborough.
Also I get ticket master emails all the time about **** going down in the city, any time any concert of consequence is on I get an email.....this thing, crickets.
I'm genuinely upset here, we don't get fights and I would have dropped a few hundred for some seats, but plans have already been made.
