Both Ramirez's, Zurdo and Jose were protected by Arum, as they weren't allowed to enter the tournaments at their weight. Arum knew Prograis would have beaten Jose and was ready to delay the purse bid and fight as long as he could, knowing Prograis wanted to fight in the tournament. I guess Arum gotta milk the their titles as long as he could.

This guy was deemed too crap to be an easy win for a washed up mallinaggi about 4 years ago, mallinagi fought and beat the guy who whooped him instead(bracero), this is washed up mallinaggi post getting destroyed by shawn porter and irrelevant in the world level scene, and now he's suddenly worthy of a title shot after getting dropped in his last fight against some unknown. there should be more outrage about this crap fight

Nah it wont happen before. WBC will give the Diamond belt to Prograis and make the winner of the WBSS mandatory to Ramirez. Similar situation to Zurdo really. They dont think hes ready, give him a year for a big fight.

There really should be rules inplace against making fights this shameful. Conner is the same dude who got ko'd by a weak puncher in branco on pbc! Yet he is the first defense of world champs title. That's ok I honestly don't even look at Ramirez as a legit world champ anyway. Dude beat a dud in amam for the belt who had done nothing since getting ko'd by granados. Shameful smh
