  • Who as fought better opposition, Mikey or Loma?

It's safe to say that people are picking Mikey to stop Loma.

And they are right IMO, 2 facts:
1- Mikey is bigger, longer, stronger.
2- Loma has shown more weaknesses than Mikey (losing to Salido while Mikey beat him, struggling with Linares...).

Regarding the second point, I think Loma showing more weaknesses might be related to him fighting (or not, hence why the poll) better comp and THIS in less fights (12 fights).

    Both best 7 opponents:

Loma fought Rigo, Walters, Salido, Sosa, Linares, Russel jr, Martinez in 12 fights.

Mickey fought Lipinets, Broner, Zlacatin, Rojas, Martinez, Salido, Burgos.

I think Loma went to overrated (unbeatable doe) to underrated (Mikey, Tank and Berchelt stop him doe).

    Loma fought better comp IMO.

yes of course loma has. also look at the guys mikey fought. they were all incredibly slow or flatfooted(in broners case) there really isn't a good technical boxer there. the best technical boxer he faced was journeyman cornelius lock and one of the judges had lock ahead after 10 rounds. i think he's been on the cherry program

Mikey never stopped salido, Mikey got saved that night by big brother. Stopped on a cut, went to the score cards.

It's not even a debate. Garcia has been cherry picking and dodging certain fights and styles whereas Lomachenko has been facing the dudes his naysayers swore he wouldn't dare fight or couldn't beat.

          I like Garcia too but he's Cherry Garcia. Funny how people try to throw that at Danny Garcia at least Danny fought all kinds of different styles, boogie men, genuine unification fights etc;

mikey is good at facing face-first guys no question since they walk right into his power. i just find it weird how if you love the slick sweet science guys shouldn't you want your fav fighters to fight some of them? doesnt beating them mean more and make your resume better? when they only fight the slow plodding guys they become your favorte? hmmm

Mikey moved up to 140 to fight Broner and whooped his ass. Never came close to getting dropped by Broner.

well let's take a look at his opposition which made him into a "star" over night

walters, a guy who didn't even try..came for a paycheck and never went back to boxing...can't give him credit for beating an already beaten fighter..

rigo, rigo had one good opponent in donaire, even in that fight he got knocked down..he was running in circles eventually getting a victory..in the fight against bumachenko he quit..and we'll leave it at that...beating a quitter doesn't get you any respect..

Linares another un skilled boxer..way to easy to read...need to make big ass movements before setting up his shoots...no defense..and no foot work...to me he's a c+ level fighter...but even he dropped bumachenko...

and don't forget he already lost against the b level fighter Salido...

Garcia on the other hand smashes everyone and has never been defeated
