Either way, it's gonna be Burger king for Loma he can have it anyway he wants by being timed with stiff jabs and bodywork while on the backfoot moving a lot or he can get countered with the right hand at midrange or take uppercuts to the body on the inside!

Mikey adapts to, he can fight off the backfoot and also come forward and throw lots of punches!

Loma likes to throw with his opponents to get his first am foremost but that will fail when someone has great patience, timing, solid jab and power for respect and Mikey has ALL of those!

The first stiff jab Loma takes he will realize he must shift even more and absolutely he can't stay in the line of fire even for a split second!

And it's not like Loma can't time, body punch and jab himself, WELL, that's the departments where he beat Linares TBH.

I'm not disagreeing with your pick but a bit with your breakdown.
I agree sometimes it's the opposite, this is why we love boxing cuz it's the theater of the unknown at times!

All I know is, after Linares dropped Loma and had him actually fighting seriously, it was where Mikey has become the favorite if they ever fight!

This would be a great fight. The jab is the key for Mikey. Linares didn't control the distance enough with his jab, but he was still able to set up his right Once. Mikey is slower than Linare, but he also has a higher ring IQ. I love Lomachenko, and he will have a definite speed advantage, but if Mikey uses his size it will be a very hard fight for Loma to survive, let alone win. He would have to box a near perfect fight.

Could be as simple as “a good big-guy, beats a good-little guy”

I agree, imo Crawford is the best fighter in boxing today. He'll be giving up size at ww and I think he can beat anybody in the division. Spence is a monster, but Crawford is all wrong for him.

Great points, I appreciate reading that mate, except that you're ignoring a bit too much what Loma's bring to the table.

Loma will turn around Mikey, Mikey has slow legs, won't trap Loma like Linares did, Linares is a fantastic athlete with fast legs. Mikey will struggle to find Loma.

Linares could catch Loma like nobody ever did because his speed allowed him to do so.

I agree that Loma inside game won't work versus Mikey, he will have to bring something new, I'm sure he will along with his papa. We are talking about GGG and Abel.

hmmmm, once Spence body snatch bud, bud will lose his legs and starts taking a beat down late. He will have success early.

Linares can do a lot of stuff Mikey can't, especially with his legs.

Mickey will worry Loma with his strength, punches selection, patience and boxing IQ.

Mickey isn't athletic like Loma or Linares.

So you will see a different fight.

Loma for the first time as a pro had his speed matched and it was a problem.

I see Mickey vs Loma as B HOP vs Calslappy.
Great comparison with this matchup and Hopkins-Calzaghe. Except Hopkins the natural middleweight moved up to super middleweight. Still very similar matchup though

I hope so, Spence is one of my favorite fighters. Crawford is a slick boxer, who switches from southpaw to conventional like no one in boxing today. I prefer brawlers, but a great boxer usually beats a great puncher. IF Spence can get to his body, and make him stationary, he definitely has the skills to stop him. That's the fight I would love to see, both guys are special!

He already was and should be.

Loma has shown more weaknesses than Mikey and is smaller that's why people are picking Mikey.

But there is a reason why Loma showed more weaknesses.

Mikey 5 best opponents are Lipinets, Broner, Martinez, Salido, JM Lopez.

Loma 5 best opponents are Rigo, Russel, Linares, Walters, Salido.

Martinez isn't even in Loma's top 5, and this just in 12 fights.
