It will be Kovalev's best opponent since Ward. And beyond Ward its his best since Hopkins.

This fight all depends on how Alvarez can take Sergey s power
If he is , which I think he can handle , then the tables have turned
Alvarez will outbox him and hopefully get the right decision on hostile territory
Kovalev , as always will diminish his output as the fight goes further
His power is not the same and tends to wanna take a round or two for tea
If the fight does go this way , I can see Alvarez getting maybe a flash knockdown but certainly will outbox him
Keep him on his toes jab and body
Kovi don’t like to be hit in the body

Kova power is unique even though Alvarez is a good boxer.

The duration of this bout depends on how Alvarez handles Kova power punches.

To me this is interesting more as a test of Alvarez than of Kovalev. I've seen him fight a few times and think he could be great despite never having been blown away by any of his performances. He deserves a shot though, feels like he was sat around an eternity waiting on Stevenson. It's almost like a repeat of the situation with Pascal a few years ago.

                  Marcus Browne...

I'm not White Knight in the least bit but there have been too many arrests involving Black athletes involved in Domestic Violence matters. We need to start campaigning in the Black Communities about Domestic Violence awareness - it's getting out of hand.

For all the criticism, if Kovalev hasn't worked hard in training over the last two fights to defend his body better as well as strengthen that core, he plain flat deserves what happens next. Alvarez does seem at least sound enough to do good body work.
