De La Coco still acting as though his golden goose had an unhealthy relationship with Mexican beef.

Canelo is the one with something to prove, not Golovkin.

oh right, because Canelo will not simply roll over and allow Golovkin to break Hopkins record..... like Vanes did

they will need Murata for that

I also called the Murata fight next. This team is becoming a tad bit ridiculous.

That's because contracts on that level and in these circumstances are negotiated first. Canelo is not a bank with a bank's typical attitude of "take it or leave it". We don't know how these negotiations go behind doors and if even a draft contract has been exchanged. Unless, of course, you are privy to such intimate details and would enlighten the plebs here.

GGG said immediately after their first fight that he wants the rematch, then De La Hoya dragged negotiations for months. Again. Then GGG started training for a fight. Then Canelo had that steak of his. This is a very simple fact pattern and, unless you are in denial, it is obvious that GGG was not ducking Canelo's rematch. Why Canelo's testing is contingent upon signing a contract is beyond me given that he would be fighting in September anyway. He's got reputation to clear and a hair sample is not enough.

If Canelo really wanted the fight, he wouldn't have eaten bad meat.
