      Yeah, straight gatekeeper status now. Man I remember when Ishe used to be good, back before the contender he had a lot of promise

        Not if he doesn't want to. He is a decent fighter who always gives a good account of himself. He will probably never again be a champion but there are hundreds of other full time pro boxers still fighting who have no chance of ever winning a world title. Boxing is what he does for a living. As long as he is well payed and fights well there is no reason why he should retire if he doesn't want to. If he starts taking bad beatings and is no longer getting paid much then he should retire for his health and safety. I don't think he has reached that point yet. It would be safer and better for his long term health if he retired today but boxing is a risky sport and all boxers risk their health and safety for money. Stevenson is 40 years old and he would be safer to retire right now as champion than to continue to fight. Still nobody asks him to retire because he is a champion.
