Loma Most Likely Fighting Beltran Next, on August 25th.

Vasyl Lomachenko will most probably face Beltran for another 135 title in August. It would be a logical choice, and a good fight to get more work at 135 in preparation for Mikey Garcia, while Garcia himself will likely face Easter.

Arum says Lomachenko could fight Ray Beltran next, not Mikey Garcia

Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank says newly crowned WBA World lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko will likely face WBO lightweight champion Ray Beltran next rather than WBC champion Mikey Garcia.

Arum didn’t sound positive at all when he answered questions about whether Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs) will fight Mikey.

Lomacenko, 30, stopped WBA 135lb champion Jorge Linares (44-4, 27 KOs) in the 10th round with a left to the body last Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York. The fight was televised on Top Rank Boxing on ESPN.

“Beltran is the obvious opponent,” Arum said about who Lomachenko will fight next in August.

I like it. Beltran is tough and he always comes to fight. He is an offensive fighter , which will play right in to Loma's skill set.

This **** fight was almost a guarantee once Loma was at 135lbs.

This is a great unification fight better than Poolyd Turdweather cherrypicking of a clown in his last fight.

Yeah that seems to be the plan. After the linares fight an easy touch is expected.

Easy dunno, Beltran is a rugged mexican who comes to fight...just like Salido by the way...

Beltran will be there for 12 rounds, even Bud didn't stop him.

garcia unifies against Easter jr, right?

so the inevitable fight could be for the undisputed 135 title?
undisputed titles are getting more regular these days. another reason why boxing is in a better state lately.
