Arum always does this "we have to rush the next fight even though we don't have an ideal opponent ready." Then Arum just gets the most available in-house opponent. This happens over and over again with Arum, and it wastes his fighters' prime careers.

Linares quit. No rematch... move on.

Ideally, it's not the worst fight that can be made considering that Mikey is already tied up with Easter.

I'd prefer to see Loma move back to 130 and fight Davis on ESPN if that fight can be made. If Loma fights Beltran - he might just settle into 135 and then Davis will just not move up for the fight and we won't get it.

Beltran is the overwhelming favorite to be next - I'm not sure what else there is for Loma though - it should be the Mikey fight or the Davis fight after Beltran but I could see Arum go back to Linares for the rematch after Beltran.

I know 1 judge was blind but the fight wasn't that close and Loma was clearly getting ready to separate himself down the stretch..

Linares is going on 33 years old he's not going get any better at this point he just not good enough to beat Loma I don't see any adjustments he's capable of making to win atp...

I think it makes sense. Linares was a good boxer @ 135, but Beltran more like Salido, probably heavier than Linares, so it's a good fight for Loma, especially if he fights Garcia next. I think Loma has a better chance of fighting Tank than Mikey due to bad blood. Loma should wait for Tank to come up, instead of going back down. I agree with you again, Beltran next, then Linares rematch!

Good fight. I had it even at the time of the stoppage. I'd rather see a rematch against Linares, than a fight with the paper titlist Beltran, if Loma can't get Easter or Garcia.

I'd rather see him go back and fight Berchelt than Davis.

Loma vs Linares is a bigger fight, bigger than Beltran thats for sure!

It was an impressive win but a rematch would be bigger!

Agreed. And yes, a Beltran match isn’t bigger although given his history, it would make for good promotion. Just stating an immediate Linares rematch is not something the overwhelming majority are clamoring for.

Loma isn't satisfied with his win that's a good trait to have as a boxer, but he should have rematched Salido!
