Yeah, that was strange. I expected Munguia to be like 10 pounds heavier.

But I've heard of fighters doing fight day weigh ins with clothes and shoes on or just giving an estimated guess.

I'm not sure how accurate those fight night weights are.

What those boxers and others are saying or trying to convey is similar to lets say if Jorge Linares went up to 147 and fought Danny Garcia or something. They both weighed 160 on fight night. But just because Linares weighs 160 on fight night like Danny Garcia does, he is still the smaller man, a blown up light weight who will get destroyed because it's not his natural weight.

That is what those guys are trying to convey. I'm pretty sure that is what they are trying to say.

Idc what their fight night weights were, Mungeia LOOKED and WAS much bigger, stronger, and powerful. Ali LOOKED like a welterweight, and certainly did not belong in the ring with a guy who was that much bigger and stronger then he was. It was evident, no matter what their weights were on fight night.

I was at work during the fight yesterday and missed it, I saw it just now and came to boxingscene to see who else felt Ali looked really flabby. I'm glad i'm not the only one. He looked like a welterweight trying to convince himself that he can fight at 154 because he narrowly beat an old Cotto. Looks like he just came off the couch. He looked in better shape at 147 vs Vargas and was TKO'ed in 9 rounds. Makes sense he'd be KO'ed earlier at 154.

"N*ggas looking like Larry Holmes, flabby and sick."
